Disclosure

This Disclosure explains how Frugal Hog at https://frugalhog.com approaches commercial relationships, editorial independence, research and accuracy. It is effective as of October 6, 2026. It should be read with our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. The Site owner has not published a legal entity name or postal address, so we and our refer to the people and entities that own, operate, edit and contribute to the Site.

Our Approach to Disclosure

We want you to know how the Site works and whether anyone pays us in connection with what we publish. Our approach is to describe the arrangements that actually exist, to say clearly when an arrangement does not exist, and to place a clear disclosure near the affected content if a material connection arises. The commercial status in this page describes the Site as of the effective date. It is a snapshot, and it is not a promise that the status will never change. We aim to be transparent, but we do not claim that this page or the Site satisfies every legal requirement in every place, and it is not legal advice. The FTC and other regulators publish guidance on endorsements and material connections, and we try to follow the spirit of that guidance. If you want to understand how those rules apply to you, speak with a qualified advisor.

Affiliate Relationships

The Site currently has no affiliate programs. The Site contains no affiliate links, which are links that pay us a commission when you click or buy. We have not confirmed enrollment in any retailer program, including Amazon Associates, and we make no statement that depends on participation in one. Because of that, none of the Site’s pages carry program-specific affiliate language. If that changes, we will update this page, and the affected articles will carry a clear notice near the links, as described in the section on where disclosures appear. Links to retailers, providers, apps and program pages that appear in articles are provided for information and reference, and following them does not generate income for us as of the effective date.

Advertising

No advertising is configured on the Site. There are no banner ads, display networks, native ads, sponsored posts or ad-network scripts. If we later enable advertising, we intend to label ads so they can be distinguished from editorial content, to avoid placing them in a way that looks like our own recommendation, and to update this page and the Privacy Policy, because advertising often involves cookies and similar technologies. The absence of advertising on this Site does not apply to external websites that we link to, which may show ads and may track you under their own policies.

Sponsorships and Paid Placements

The Site has no sponsorships and accepts no payment for placement, inclusion, rankings or favorable coverage as of the effective date. No company has paid for any article, mention or link. If we publish sponsored content in the future, we intend to label it clearly as sponsored at the top of the content, identify the sponsor and make clear that the sponsor does not control our independent editorial decisions on unrelated content. We would also update this page.

Compensation, Free Products and Other Material Relationships

We have received no free products, free services, samples, trips, gift cards, discounts, payments or other compensation from companies, providers, apps or programs featured on the Site. We are not aware of a financial or personal relationship with a featured company that a reader would consider important in evaluating what we write. If we receive something of value that could reasonably affect how a reader weighs our content, such as a commission, a payment, a free product, an ownership stake or a family or employment connection, we will disclose it clearly near the content that it affects. A company’s gift or offer to us would not oblige us to say anything favorable, and we would not promise coverage in exchange for it.

Editorial Independence and Conflicts of Interest

The Site’s content is selected and written on an editorial basis. We choose topics based on what we think readers need, including topics that readers suggest through the contact form or by email, and not based on payments from companies. We try to describe trade-offs, including costs, time, eligibility limits and downsides, and not only benefits. A topic suggestion from a reader is not a promise that we will cover it. Because the Site currently has no advertising, sponsorships or affiliate income, we know of no commercial pressure on the content. The Site is nevertheless run by people who may have their own views, and an article may reflect our opinion, which is not the same as fact. If a conflict of interest arises, we intend to disclose it and to manage it, and we welcome readers to tell us if they think we missed one.

No Guaranteed Earnings, Savings or Results

The Site discusses ways to spend less, save more, reduce bills and use programs and offers. Any savings figure, percentage, example, price or scenario is an illustration and not a guarantee, and not a representation of what you will achieve. Your results depend on your own circumstances, including your income, state, provider, household, credit, usage, effort and timing, as well as on factors outside anyone’s control. Promotional rates expire, programs close or change eligibility, and offers can carry conditions or fees. Some tips save money but cost time or patience, and they may not be worth it for you. We do not promise that any tip, service, program, app or strategy will work for you, or that you will avoid losses. Be wary of anyone, anywhere, who guarantees specific financial results.

Research Methodology, Review Limits and Testimonials

Our content is research-based. We draw on published guidance, provider and program documentation, terms and fee schedules, and other public information. We do not do hands-on testing of products or services, and we do not claim to have bought, used, owned or tested what we discuss. That means we cannot tell you how a product performs in daily use, and we do not offer reviews based on first-hand experience. Our research has limits. Sources can be wrong or out of date, providers can change terms without notice, offers can be regional or personalized, and a provider’s own description may not match your experience. We may also misread or misunderstand a source.

The author byline Gregory Pappas is an editorial persona and is fictional. The portrait is an illustration and not a photograph of a real person. The persona’s biography and first-person statements, including references to upbringing, jobs, habits and preferences, are a literary voice that frames the Site’s editorial approach, and they should not be read as a factual biography, as a claim of personal experience with any product or service, or as proof of professional qualifications. The persona holds no financial, legal or other professional credentials. We do not publish customer testimonials or endorsements from real people on the Site, and we will not publish fabricated or paid-for testimonials. If we publish a reader’s story in the future, it will be authentic and attributed or described accurately, and any compensation to the person will be disclosed.

Prices, Specifications, Availability and Seller Responsibility

Prices, rates, fees, specifications, offer terms, availability, warranties, return policies and program rules mentioned on the Site come from sources at a point in time and can change at any moment. They may differ by location, account, time, retailer or provider, and they may not be available to you. The seller or provider, and not us, sets and controls these details, and the seller or provider is responsible for its products, services, billing, delivery, warranties, returns, refunds, cancellations, customer service and compliance with the law. We do not sell products, we do not process payments, we are not a party to your transaction and we do not guarantee any seller’s performance. Before you buy, sign up or apply, check the current terms, fees, eligibility rules, warranty and cancellation conditions on the seller’s or provider’s official page, and read its privacy policy. If a product or service involves safety risks, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Informational Purpose and Professional Advice

The Site is for general information and education only. It is not personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, credit, insurance, benefits, medical-billing, medical or other professional advice, and nothing on it creates a professional relationship. Sending us a question through the contact form or by email does not create a professional relationship either, and we do not provide personalized advice in reply. In particular, decisions about debt, credit scores, balance transfers and consolidation can carry financial risk, and assistance-program eligibility depends on your facts and on rules that change. Do-it-yourself topics, such as homemade cleaners, food storage and freezer meals, electrical work and car maintenance, carry risks of injury, illness, fire, property damage and harmful fumes if done improperly, such as when household chemicals are mixed. Consult a qualified professional where appropriate, follow manufacturer instructions and local requirements and use your own judgment. We also warn readers that scams often target people who are searching for deals, freebies or hardship help. The Terms of Use contain further topic-specific warnings and the limits of our responsibility.

Accuracy, Updates and Corrections

We try to be accurate, but we do not guarantee that content is complete, correct or current. Because rates, rules, fees and offers change, an article may be out of date even if it was correct when we wrote it. We may update, revise or remove content at any time and we do not promise to do so by a particular date. If you see a price, program rule, link or figure that looks wrong or out of date, please use the contact form or email hello@frugalhog.com with the guide and what you found, ideally with a source. We appreciate corrections and we will try to review them, although we cannot promise that we will respond to or act on every report or do so within a specific time. Where we make a material correction to an article, we intend to fix the text, and we may note the change where it helps readers. Please confirm important details with the provider or program before you act.

Where Disclosures Appear

This page is the main place where we explain our commercial relationships and research limits, and we link to it from the Site. Because the Site currently has no affiliate links, ads, sponsorships or free products, there are no individual article notices to display at this time. If that changes, we intend to place a clear, plain-language disclosure near the affected recommendation or link, before the reader encounters the link and not only on this page or in a footer. We would also update the site-wide notice and this page. If you think a disclosure is missing or unclear, please tell us.

Questions, Updates and Contact

We may update this Disclosure as the Site changes, for example if we enable advertising, join an affiliate program, accept a sponsorship or change how we research content. The date at the top shows when the current version took effect, and the updated version will be posted on this page. The Site has no mailing list or accounts, so we do not send personal notices of changes. Questions about this Disclosure can be sent through the contact form on the Contact page or by email to hello@frugalhog.com. Messages are forwarded through Cloudflare to the operator’s private inbox. Contact provisioning and forwarding were configured on October 6, 2026 and report ready, but a real end-to-end delivery check has not yet been completed, so delivery has not been confirmed by a live test. We cannot confirm that a message will be delivered, and we do not promise any response time. Please see the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy for related information.
